About cadlo.fit

A reference site on field fitness tests, written by the people who coded the beeps.

Who writes it

cadlo.fit is published by InsightIQ, a French studio that develops the Cadlo app for iPhone and Android. Pages are drafted with assistance by the team that implemented each protocol in the app, then checked automatically before publication: every figure is compared with the data that drives the beeps in the app, every cited source must respond and contain the figures quoted, and an independent review blocks any page that contradicts that data or states a standard without a document. Every page carries the date of its last real change.

Where the numbers come from

Level tables, speeds, distances and durations come from a single data file, the same one that drives the beeps in the app. When a Cadlo user compares the app with an official recording and reports a gap, the fix is made in that file and propagates to every page on the site. VO₂max estimates use the Daniels and Gilbert model for MAS and Bangsbo’s equations for the Yo-Yo tests. Entry-test standards cite the regulation or official document they come from, with the date checked.

What the site does not do

It gives no medical advice. A maximal test is a hard effort: if in doubt about your health, ask a doctor before taking it. Level benchmarks are orders of magnitude to place a result, not norms. Entry-test standards change with each regulation: the version that counts is the one from the body running the test.

Report an error

A speed that does not match your audio track, an outdated standard, a typo: write to contact@insightiq.dev with the page address. Data corrections are handled first.
